Through collaborating with other international and national NGOs and URT governmental entities, together, we will spark a wave of action to reduce pollution and cherish the ocean’s essential role in our lives.

From every grain of sand to the deepest blue, let’s cherish the ocean by:
- Educates the public on the crucial role the ocean plays in daily life such as food provision, oxygen, and regulating of our climate.
- Draws attention to urgent environmental issues, including pollution from over 8 million tonnes of plastic annually, habitat destruction, and climate change effects.
- Supporting blue economy through platform for developing sustainable, productive oceans that support livelihoods and economies.
- Focuses on protecting marine habitats, such as coral reefs, and the marine species populations affected by human activity.
World Oceans Day has been officially recognized by the United Nations since 2008 and is a global movement aimed at fostering a sustainable future for our oceans.
In Tanzania, celebrate World Oceans Day and be committed to its conservation will always be crucial and significant on encourage global action for conservation, sustainable management of marine resources, and protection of biodiversity for future generation.
